Tennis, Cupcakes, and Community with RallyCo.
By Hey Girl Wellness
15 February | Accra
There are many ways to spend Valentine’s weekend. Flowers, brunch, soft life playlists. But on the 15th of February, we spent ours on a tennis court, surrounded by women, laughter, and the sound of rackets hitting pink and green balls.
We were invited by The RallyCo. to their Galentine’s Tennis event, and it was exactly the kind of joyful, girl-centred movement space we love to see more of.

Tennis, but Make It Galentine’s

From the moment we arrived, the energy was unmistakably warm. Think cupcakes in hand, sneakers on feet, and a court full of women ready to rally, connect, and play. It was tennis, yes, but it was also community. The kind where you cheer for strangers like friends and share snacks between sets.
Friendly Matches, Competitive Swings
The day blended lighthearted fun with real competition. There were friendly matches for beginners and casual players, alongside more competitive games for those ready to bring their A-game.
Highlights included:
- A One Grand Slam tournament that brought out serious focus and athleticism
- A Doubles tournament, where teamwork, communication, and vibes mattered just as much as skill
Whether a girlie was chasing points or just chasing the ball, there was space for everyone.
Drills, Skills, and Sweat
Beyond matches, the drills were a standout. They were fun, fast-paced, and beginner-friendly, but still challenging enough to make you feel like you were actually learning tennis. It was less intimidating, more empowering. The kind of environment where you can miss a shot and still feel supported.
Networking, Girl Talk, and Shared Joy
Between rallies, there was real connection. Conversations on the sidelines, introductions, laughter, and that instant bond that happens when women gather around movement. Tennis became the icebreaker, but community was the main event.

Thank You, RallyCo.
We’re grateful to The RallyCo. for inviting us into this space and for creating a Galentine’s experience that centered women, sport, and joy. Events like this matter. They make tennis feel accessible, social, and culturally relevant.
And honestly? We left sweaty, smiling, and already plotting our next court date.

Until next rally,
Hey Girl Wellness
